How do I know if I qualify for PTIT?
Your traffic case and driving history are reviewed to determine if you qualify for the program.
You have not participated in PTIT within the past 12 months.
Your charge(s) were not the result of your involvement in an accident.
What are some advantages of my participation?

You will NOT have a conviction
You participation fee will be LESS than your total fine amount.
If you successfully complete the 60 days program requirements, your case will be dismissed and the charge will NOT be reported to the Department of Driver Services.

How long will the program take?
In most cases, the requirements can be completed the same day you appear in court or accepted into the program. If you are unable to complete requirements on the day, you will have 60days complete the program requirements.
What is the differnece between my entering a plea of Guilty, Not Guilty, NOLO, or choosing the PTIT Program?
PTIT does not require you to enter a plea, because it is an alternative sentencing. By entering a plea of "Not Guilty," "Guilty," or "NOLO" before the judge in the courtroom, there is an associated court fine and added court cost imposed with the charge. That may result in your charge being reported to Department of Driver Services.
How much is the participation fee?
Your charge(s) will be individually evaluated, and the participation fee assessed is based on YOUR offense(s) and prior driving record. (not to exceed statutory limitations)

Besides paying the program fee, what are some other program requirements that may be ordered?
IN SOME CASES, You maybe required to complete Community Service Work, in addition to paying your program fees.
In the instance you are required to do Community Service Work, please see the Community Service page for locations accepted by the City of Porterdale.
Is there any alternatives to the Community Service Work I am required to do by the PTIT Program?
In lieu of the Community Service Work, you can take a Department of Driver Services Class.

When can I drop off my program requirements?
You may personally deliver your participation fee and proof of any participation requirements prior to your schedule compliance date. If you choose to mail-in your payment along will any required documents outlined on your participation agreement, they must be received together BEFORE your compliance date.
